Donald Trump says Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton 'are controlled by hedge funds’

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Sunday that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Jeb Bush are receiving major donations from hedge funds and that the sector controls them.

In an interview on CBS News’s Face the Nation, Trump said he would come up with a proposed tax plan and warned hedge funds will have to pay up.

Commenting on his previous statement that hedge funds are getting away with murder, Trump said, "Well, I just used that as the ultimate example, because I know these guys. They're all supporting Jeb Bush for the most part and Hillary Clinton."

He continued, "When I hear them talking about, oh, we have got to stop this and that, they don't mean it, because they're totally controlled by -- Hillary and Jeb in particular are totally controlled by the hedge fund guys and the Wall Street guys, but hedge funds in particular."

Trump promised that the era of hedge funds of paying no or very little tax is coming to an end. He further stated, "So, they pay very little tax, and that's going to end when I come out with my plan in about three weeks. It could be sooner than that. We have an amazing tax plan.
