Duff & Phelps acquires asset management consulting firm Kinetic Partners

Global valuation and corporate finance advisor Duff & Phelps Corporation and asset management consulting firm Kinetic Partners have signed a definitive agreement for Kinetic Partners to be acquired by Duff & Phelps.

In a press statement, Julian Korek, CEO of Kinetic Partners said that as part of this transaction, Kinetic Partners would create a dedicated financial regulatory and compliance consulting practice within Duff & Phelps, which he will lead.

"Joining the Duff & Phelps’ team also represents an ideal complement to Kinetic Partners’ current skill set and services including our forensic, corporate recovery, insolvency and tax teams. In addition, this acquisition will expand the global footprint of both clients in major national and international financial centers The transaction is expected to close in early 2015, pending European regulatory review," Korek added.

As a result of potential conflicts with new and existing clients, Kinetic Partners Audit and Kinetic Partners Cayman will remain as separate organizations and will not form part of the Duff & Phelps acquisition. Korek said that all of the two firms organizations would, h......................
