TriDelta hedge fund returns 15.9% in first year, does not charge performance fee

The TriDelta High Income Balanced Fund completed its first year of operations on November 30, 2014 with a very strong return of 15.9% (F-Class shares). Unlike most alternative investment or hedge funds, TriDelta High Income Balanced Fund charges no performance fee and its management / advisory fee is lower than most mutual funds. It’s current assets under management exceeds $10m.

The fund is managed by Edward Jong, Head of Fixed Income and Cameron Winser, Head of Equities at Toronto-based TriDelta. Edward has been a fixed income portfolio manager since 1993 when he first joined Altamira Investment Management Ltd. He has achieved considerable success in managing money market and working capital mandates; becoming the lead portfolio manager at Altamira for all their short mandates, co-manager for their global bond portfolios, and eventually the lead manager for their long duration bond fund.

At Altamira, Edward personally oversaw more than $2.5 billion in both institutional and retail money market assets; and was part of a team of managers that managed approximately $10 billion in total institutional and retail fixed income mandates. During this period, Edward was a recipient of a number of industry awards.
