Timberland Ownership and Investment Review -- 2008 Edition
This Review is the third edition of the DANA T/L
Review. It expands and updates the previous Reviews published in 2004 and
2006. It highlights recent changes in timberland (T/L) ownership in North
America and an increasing number of international players with their resources,
recent transactions with buyers, sellers and (mostly) prices, and other
material, to provide a comprehensive overview of this important and rapidly
growing investment sector.
The Review is an essential information resource for
investor groups, T/L (forest) owners, advisors and consultants, universities and
government departments involved with T/L investment, ownership and management.
An Introduction Chapter summarizes the recent and
present state of the US T/L market, possible transaction opportunities in
2008-09; the reasons why so many new investors are enamored to this investment
class; and some important results found by a late - 2007 Merrill Lynch
timberland investors survey - and much more!
Later chapters profile and/or list details of
more than 615 TIMOs, Timberland REITS, private owners, funds and company

Recent, current "expected" and "possibly
achieved" returns on T/L investments are discussed; as measured against
alternatives.
And finally DANA provides its views on twelve
