From Thestar.com: Junior mining companies are cutting hundreds of jobs in northern Ontario due to plunging metal prices, and analysts say some miners will go out of business before the global financial crisis is over. FNX Mining Co. Inc. said today it is suspending commercial production at its Levack nickel mine near Sudbury, Ont., because of low prices and high operating costs.
