27.03.2009 - Strong commodities and solid results bring respite
From FT: US stocks rallied strongly yesterday to put the benchmark S&P 500 index on course for its biggest monthly gain since 1974. Strength in the cash-rich technology sector, meanwhile, meant the Nasdaq Composite index is now in positive territory for the year. The S&P 500 rose 2.3 per cent to 832.86 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 2.3 per cent to 7,924.56.
