| From IHT: Brazil's Mines and Energy minister says Latin America's largest country has been invited to join the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC. Minister Edson Lobao says the invitation was made last week at the microphone during a meeting of the oil cartel at its headquarters in Vienna.
