The corporation noted last week that the fund earned a return of 14.5 percent on its investments in the first half of the 2011 fiscal year. As of Dec. 31, the fundís value was $38.4 billion. As a result, the fund has recovered much of the value it lost when the global economy went into a tailspin in mid-2008.
