From Irishemigrant.com: The Irish government will use the Irish National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) to make a $50m investment in Polaris Venture Partners, a U.S. venture capital firm which gives start-up cash to new companies in the hope they will eventually become successful businesses and provide a return on the investment. The investment will be made via Innovation Fund Ireland, a $700 million, five-year government initiative launched in New York in July.
