10.10.2011 - US: Construction hiring regains some vigor in September
Construction firms added 26,000 jobs in September, the most in seven months. The industry trailed only health care, professional and business services, and information in job creation. Overall, U.S. payrolls grew by 103,000 last month, and the unemployment rate held steady at 9.1%, the Labor Department said. Contractors have added 53,000 jobs this year after losing about 150,000 last year and 2 million in the recession.
