11.05.2011 - Canadian housing market resilient; U.S. not so lucky
Another day of data brought further proof of the resiliency of the Canadian housing market and the current frailty of its U.S. counterpart. The latest bad news for American housing was a report from real estate company Zillow showing the market might have a ways to go before it bottoms out. Zillow said existing home prices in the United States fell 3% in the first quarter of 2011 -a pace not seen since 2008, which was the worst point of the housing recession.
