From Reuters: U.S. construction starts fell 5 percent in September to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $529.9 billion, McGraw-Hill Construction said in a report. Nonresidential building and nonbuilding construction spending fell, while residential building managed a slight gain from a very low level, the monthly report said.
