| From FT: Base metals continued to retreat on Tuesday in spite of reports that the Chinese government was about to embark on a massive buying spree to build up strategic stocks and provide support for local producers. The provincial governments of both Guangxi and Yunnan have indicated that they want to build up stocks of base metals and China’s State Reserve Bureau is also expected to intervene in the market.....
