07.06.2016 - Malaysia to Inject up to $307 Million Into Auto Maker Proton
The Malaysian government plans to inject up to 1.25 billion ringgit ($307 million) into Proton Holdings Bhd. by subscribing to convertible debt to be issued by the auto maker, Proton’s owner DRB-Hicom Bhd said Monday. If the government chooses to fully convert the debt into shares, it could become Proton’s largest shareholder again.
