19.02.2016 - Korea: Sovereign fund to increase investments in alternative assets
The chief of the country's sovereign wealth fund said Wednesday that he will increase its investments in alternative assets, such as real estate and infrastructure, as stocks are dropping sharply and bonds are yielding lower returns. Eun Sung-soo, CEO of the Korea Investment Corp. (KIC), said the fund will make alternative investments account for 20 percent of its total investments by 2020, raising them from 12.4 percent last year.
