Berlin’s real estate complex at Potsdamer Platz — where five of the city’s broad avenues converge near the Brandenburg Gate — has been bought by a subsidiary of Brookfield Property Partners and the state-owned Korea Investment Corporation in a €1.3bn deal. In the 1920s and 1930s, Potsdamer Platz was the single busiest intersection in the world, according to Ric Clark, chairman of Brookfield Property Partners, who led the purchase.
