Sovereign wealth funds are expected to play a bigger role in the U.S. commercial real estate market in the coming months. Sovereign wealth funds are raising the stakes for global real estate allocations and North America remains a top focus for many groups. Last year, foreign investment in U.S. real estate amounted to about $40 billion. During the first quarter of 2015 alone that volume has reached nearly $22 billion, according to commercial real estate services firm Colliers International. “Unless we see some external force come in and interrupt the flow, 2015 is going to come in and crush 2014,” says Brian Ward, president, capital markets and investment services for the Americas at Colliers International in New York City..........................................Full Article: Source
