03.03.2015 - Kuwait Buys European Stocks Versus U.S. on ECB Easing
The Kuwait Investment Office, part of the Gulf state’s sovereign wealth fund, will increase its allocation to European equities as it shifts away from U.S. stocks. The KIO is reducing its overweight allocation to U.S. equities, that it has held for the past seven years, Osama Alayoub, chief executive officer of the fund, said. It will increase its allocation to European equities in response to the European Central Bank’s bond buying program, he said. “After seven years of being overweight U.S. equities this year we started to implement a strategy of going overweight on European equities and decreasing the U.S. exposure,” he said. “There will be a chase in Europe for yielding assets and we think assets will inflate.”..............................................Full Article: Source
