09.05.2012 - Customers' interests 'vital to lift banking standards'
Too often over the past five years the interests of customers at both conventional and Islamic banks have been neglected as bank management has focused on bonuses and share price. If banks neglect customers' interests, then they will lose those customers. That was the message from Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Al Maraj to delegates at the Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) conference.
