From Bloomberg: Standard Chartered Plc, the U.K. bank that gets more than three-quarters of its profit in Asia, plans to raise 1.8 billion pounds ($2.7 billion) in a rights offer to bolster its finances as the global economic recession deepens. Existing shareholders can buy 30 new shares for 91 already held at 390 pence apiece, the London-based bank said in a statement to Hong Kong's stock exchange today.
