04.03.2016 - Copper hits more than 3-month high
Copper prices have hit their highest in more than three months, boosted by gains for equities, increased confidence in global growth prospects and a lower US dollar. London Metal Exchange three-month copper ended 1.4 per cent higher at $US4,856 a tonne. The metal earlier hit $US4,848, its highest since November 12, although analysts were cautious about the potential for further gains.
