Commodity prices will not recover this year, the federal government said Thursday in a forecast that will be a blow to producers hoping for a rebound in the slumping farm economy. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said producers should expect slumping farm income, modest declines in land values and cash rents and a less-than-favorable trade environment.
