Oil prices rose slightly higher with help from chart-based traders and bottom-pickers despite warnings from a top energy watchdog that the decision by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to keep pumping could depress prices until the end of the decade. Many traders have been moving based on connections with the dollar and equities, and others are anticipating limited inventory growth this week, market participants said.
