16.10.2015 - Is It Finally Time to Load Up on Commodities?
A lot of people I know are talking more about alternatives to stocks and bonds that they have in years. And who can argue with that basic impulse? With concerns about stocks knocking up against a six and a half year long bull market, and with low interest rates making bonds seemingly little more than ballast for a portfolio, it’s easy to see why investors feel a need to take on something different. Now that the broader stock indexes have recovered nicely in recent weeks, off their correction lows, why not cash out some of that position and consider some alternatives? But does “alternatives” need to take us into long-short hedge funds, private timberland, and other exotica with large minimum investment requirements and multiyear lockup periods?..............................................Full Article: Source
