Providers of exchange traded funds reeling from the market turmoil this week are calling for a reassessment of stock market risk controls, which they say prevented accurate pricing of ETFs. The S&P 500 had a string of volatile trading days this week, with investors and analysts pointing to events in China as a driving force. On Monday several individual stocks took longer than usual to open even though the New York Stock Exchange invoked rule 48.
