| The government has set up a committee to oversee the merger between commodities market regulator Forwards Market Commission (FMC) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi). The committee is headed by Ajay Tyagi, additional secretary, finance ministry and has representatives from both the regulators and the ministry.
