30.09.2014 - Scotiabank's commodity index falls sharply in August
Scotiabank's monthly commodity price index lost ground in August, dropping 5.4 per cent from July in a broad-based decline. Four of Scotiabank's commodity subindexes fell, with the biggest declines in the oil and gas sector as well as in agriculture. Forestry was the only subindex to show an increase between July and August while mining and metals was down slightly.
