With fall right around the corner, farmers are gearing up to harvest one of the largest crops in history. Corn production for 2014/15 is forecast 172 million bushels higher at a record 14 billion bushels. USDA’s first survey-based corn yield forecast, at a record 167.4 bushels per acre, is up 2.1 bushels from last month’s trend-based projection. In Mid-June, more than 581 farmers across the country took part in AgWeb’s 2014 Equipment and Machinery Research survey.
