Exchange-traded fund inflows shot up to $123.9 billion in the first half of the year, a rise of 25% compared with the same period in 2013, after a strong performance in the second quarter, according to data compiled by BlackRock. Inflows of $90.6 billion in the three months to June were the highest for a quarter since 2009, helped by renewed interest in emerging markets.
