The commodity markets saw a choppy 2013, with soft commodities - coffee in particular - lacking luster. A supply glut resulted in a 20% decline in the price of the commodity last year. This is, in fact, the third consecutive year of negative performance from coffee. However, toward the beginning of last month, the robusta variety of coffee saw some strength.
