Agricultural food prices are expected to post double digit price falls this year and next, thanks to plentiful supplies of cereals, sugar and vegetable oil, according to Macquarie, the investment bank. Macquarie, which has launched a new benchmark for global food prices, said it expected food prices to decline by 11 per cent in 2013 and by 10 per cent in 2014.
