Opec pumped crude at the lowest rate in almost two years in September, according to the oil producing cartel’s own analysis, as disruptions to supplies from several members continued to support oil prices. Brent crude oil has traded near the $110-a-barrel mark since mid-August, as theft has pushed Nigerian production below 2m barrels a day, and much of Libya’s oil industry has been closed by a wave of militia activity.
