The Mexican peso and other emerging-market currencies dived against the dollar Wednesday after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said the Fed could moderate its asset purchases later this year. While the Fed left its current policy stance unchanged, it also provided a more optimistic outlook for the world’s largest economy and a potential timeline for ending the central bank’s bond buying.
