Funds that specialize in currencies are enjoying their best start to a year in at least a decade as economies show signs of decoupling. The Parker Global Currency Manager Index gained 2.7% in the first three months of the year, the most for the period since at least 2003 and the biggest jump for any quarter since 2007. The index fell 0.2% in all of 2012 and tumbled 8.4% the year before.
