The final trading session of the week opened with losses across the board in precious metals values. Gold market players continued to show concern about the latest reported dip in global demand for the yellow metal. While last Friday surveyed traders were almost unanimous in their forecast for higher gold prices this week, gold is now showing that it could finish the week with a net loss instead. Spot quotes showed gold falling by $5 to 1,711 and silver by 25 cents to $32.35 the ounce.
