| The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will hold a meeting of senior officials in late October to help select its new secretary general, a senior Iraqi oil industry official said Wednesday. A committee set up by OPEC in June to select a new secretary general would meet in Vienna for three days between Oct. 22-24, the person said.
Each of the four candidates, nominated by their governments, would deliver presentation during the meeting that mainly about what they have been doing in the oil industry and the committee would ask them questions to examine their credentials, the Iraqi senior official said.............................................Full Article: Source |
