It has become accepted wisdom over the past few years that investors should allocate a small portion of their portfolios to commodities. The reason: Commodities provide diversification, often moving in patterns that don't correlate with stocks and bonds. But not everyone is on board. "There is one very good reason not to invest in commodities themselves.
