06.05.2011 - Launch of Arabic version of Islamic finance qualification in Beirut
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and Ecole Superieure des Affaires (ESA) have launched the Arabic version of the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ). The Arabic IFQ was developed in partnership with ESA, the Central Bank of Lebanon and the CISI and the IFQ syllabus, workbook and examination are now fully Sharia'a compliant, offering essential knowledge of the general principles of Sharia'a and its application to Islamic banking and finance. Since the launch of the initial English language version of the IFQ in March 2007 more than 1,800 examinations have been sat and over 1,000 of these were sat internationally. (Press Release)
