Gold futures settled lower after touching fresh two-week highs Thursday, as investor enthusiasm over central banks' plans to cut the cost of borrowing dollars faded. Gold prices rallied 2% on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank and several other central banks announced plans intended to boost dollar liquidity.
