Emerging-market currencies weakened Tuesday as investors remained focused on the euro-zone's escalating sovereign debt crisis, though emerging-market sovereign debt was little changed. Despite positive economic data from the U.S. that marginally helped lift U.S. equities and global commodities, emerging-market currencies were unable to take advantage of any increase in risk appetite.
