| The global zinc surplus may decline after an earthquake and tsunami slashed metal output and sales by major Japanese smelters. Toho Zinc Co., Japan’s third-biggest zinc producer, will sell 9.4 percent less this fiscal year, Kunio Yamamiya, Toho Zinc’s representative senior managing director, said in an interview.
