From Platts: Failure to reach a binding post-Kyoto agreement on emissions reduction in Copenhagen means it will cost $1 trillion more than was estimated last year to cut CO2 emissions enough to keep the world's temperature from rising more than two degrees Celsius, the International Energy Agency said in its World Energy Outlook 2010 report released Monday. The "modest" pledges made in Copenhagen for emissions cuts "undoubtedly make it less likely that the two-degree goal will actually be achieved.
