| From Voanews.com: A new report says the European Union can cut energy costs and meet its goals of cutting 80 percent of its carbon emissions by 2050 by investing heavily and rapidly in renewable energy and regional energy grids.
The European Climate Foundation report says the European Union needs to invest more than $9.5 trillion to meet its goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050.
