| From Telegraph.co.uk: UK housing market activity is picking up according to the latest data published on Tuesday, with a rise in mortgage approvals in April and the construction sector stabilising. Bank of England figures showed mortgage approvals rose for the fifth month in a row in April to a one-year high of 43,201.
