Waterloo Capital appoints new chief investment officer

Opalesque Industry Update - Waterloo Capital, one of the largest fee-only Registered Investment Advisors in the U.S., announced that Bennett Woodward has joined the firm as a partner and will assume the role of Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Woodward brings a wealth of experience from within the investment industry, having previously served as the Chief Strategist for the ING Investment Centre (formerly the North American investment subsidiary of ING, which is now Voya Financial) and subsequently Director of Equities for the $100 Billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas. While serving as Chief Strategist for ING Mr. Woodward received the prestigious INDATA award for best 5-year performance out of 720 similar sized pension funds. Mr. Woodward joins Waterloo, merging his firm Black Diamond Investment Partners, a wealth management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, with Waterloo Capital.

Adding Mr. Woodward as Chief Investment Officer further enhances Waterloo's portfolio management services and investment capabilities. Waterloo Capital provides investment management services for institutional and individual clientele throughout the United States.
