Citco launches Citco Capital Solutions

Monday, July 25, 2016
Opalesque Industry Update - The Citco Group of Companies has launched Citco Capital Solutions, a capital advisory service that will focus on arranging debt and equity capital for sponsors and investors in alternative investment vehicles. Citco Capital Solutions is led by Managing Director Michael Peterson, and Shiraz Allidina has also joined the firm as a Director.

Leveraging Citco’s industry-leading experience and broad relationships across the global alternative investment space, Citco Capital Solutions provides a full suite of capital advisory services, including arrangement of subscription lines, project finance, and warehouse lines, as well as joint-venture, preferred and co-invest equity.

Mr. Peterson said, “Citco has a long history of providing unparalleled expertise and tailored service in order to support our clients’ business needs and objectives, and the formation of a new capital advisory offering is a natural next step in that trajectory. Alternative investment managers are increasingly looking to non-banks for their financing and capital raising needs, and with our expansive industry knowledge and relationships across asset classes and geographies, Citco is extremely well-positioned to advise on the opportunities that are opening in that space. We look forward to leveraging our robust financial, transactional, and alternative investment expertise to help both existing Citco clients and other firms meet their capital raising needs on a global scale.”

Michael Peterson has over 14 years of experience as a principal and advisor, and for the past six years has served as a Managing Director at Citco, working on a range of projects including helping to develop the firm’s private equity and real estate business. Mr. Peterson was previously a financial advisor to the Judd Foundation. He previously held positions at Fortress Investment Group, Highbridge / Zwirn & Co., Fitch Ratings, and Washington Mutual Bank. His focus has been on warehouse and special situations lending across real assets, and he has also focused on structuring, securitization, and investing in structured products.

Prior to joining Citco Capital Solutions, Mr. Allidina was an Advisor to TPG Special Situations Partners and a Partner at Bridgeway Partners, a boutique advisory firm focused on commercial real estate debt and equity placement. Previously, he held positions as Head of Real Estate at GMO’s Asset Allocation Group, Vice President at D.B. Zwirn & Co., Investment Officer at CapitalSource Finance, and Analyst at Farallon Capital.
