BCA Research and FiscalNote partner to provide legislative research

Tuesday, February 09, 2016
Opalesque Industry Update - BCA Research, a leading provider of independent investment research, today announced it has partnered with FiscalNote to integrate U.S. policy data and analysis onto BCA’s digital platform BCA Edge.

The collaboration will enable investors to easily factor in today’s complex regulatory landscape into their investment strategies and better understand how individual companies and industries are impacted by legislative actions, to identify alpha generating investment opportunities.

The initial integration onto BCA’s Edge platform will create unique quantitative indicators that predict the directional change of policy for specific equity sectors and the market impact. Investors will be able create charts to identify correlations and market trends. BCA’s reports will include co-curated research to provide a detailed narrative to support investment cases and better understand the impact of a specific policy.

“Our collaboration with FiscalNote is an important step in our mission to offer the world’s most innovative, alpha generating data sources and tools through our next-generation investment research platform, BCA Edge,” said Bashar AL-Rehany, CEO of BCA Research. “This builds on our strategy to introduce industry- leading sector and bottom-up forecasts that when combined with our top-down macro-economic research, provides the investment community with the most intelligent, actionable insights to support any investment strategy.”

"We look forward to working with BCA Research as we expand FiscalNote's geographic and industry diversity in the coming year,” said Tim Hwang, CEO of FiscalNote. “The combination of FiscalNote's analytics and BCA's research and breadth of coverage will be a major step forward for the financial industry in understanding how government actions affect markets"

This agreement with FiscalNote follows BCA’s collaboration with crowdsourced financial estimates platform Estimize to incorporate earnings and revenue estimates data on the BCA Edge platform.
