Tages Capital appoints Jamie Kermisch as chief executive officer

Monday, October 12, 2015
Opalesque Industry Update - Tages Capital LLP, the asset management business of the Tages Group, has announced the appointment of Jamie Kermisch as Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned executive with proven experience in the alternatives industry, Jamie is the former CEO of Mariana Investment Partners and was previously Group Managing Director of Fauchier Partners, a leading institutional fund of hedge funds asset manager.

Prior to that, Jamie spent 20 years at several leading investment banks, including 10 years as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he held various senior executive positions. Among other things, Jamie managed the bank's hedge fund client businesses in Europe as well as its Special Situations Group focused on multi-asset event-driven investment strategies.

Subject to regulatory approvals, Jamie will be joining Tages in October.

Panfilo Tarantelli, Founding Partner of Tages Group, said: ''Jamie brings a wealth of alternative asset management experience and leadership to Tages Capital LLP. He is a great hire for us as we continue to establish ourselves as one of Europe's leading alternatives providers. Jamie's breadth of knowledge and skills will be key to driving our ambitious plans for future growth. These include hiring a number of new investment teams across various investment strategies where we intend to invest US$600 million of seed capital in 2016. We will also be strengthening our distribution capability for our innovative multi-manager solutions. In an increasingly volatile market environment, demand for our risk-controlled alternative investment portfolios remains strong across both institutional and wealth channels."

Jamie Kermisch, CEO of Tages Capital LLP, said: "I am delighted to be joining one of most dynamic and innovative alternative asset management firms in Europe. Tages Capital LLP has developed a leading market position and a strong reputation for cutting-edge alternative investment solutions and superior investment performance. By incorporating both multi-manager portfolios and single-manager offerings, often within a liquid UCITs framework, the firm caters efficiently to investors' needs. The firm's growth path to date speaks for itself and I look forward to working with such a strong executive team to build the business further. "
