Tuesday, October 28, 2014
Opalesque Industry Update - Ash Park, a boutique investment advisor, today announced the launch of its global Consumer Staples equities fund on the MontLake UCITS platform, a leading independent platform for UCITS funds designed to give investors convenient access to a range of liquid, transparent and regulated investment products.

The long-only MontLake Ash Park Global Consumer Staples UCITS Fund will own companies operating in the Food, Beverages, Tobacco and Household & Personal Care sectors, which Ash Park believes combine attractive income generation with inflation protection and growth, supported by brands and franchises which have often been built over decades, even centuries.

Speaking today Jonathan Fell, co-founder of Ash Park said: "We see significant interest from investors who are looking for steady long-term capital appreciation, and Consumer Staples companies have an excellent record of producing that over the long term. The MontLake Ash Park Global Consumer Staples UCITS Fund will provide investors with exposure to a concentrated portfolio of high-quality Consumer Staples equities, backed-up by detailed knowledge and research of company and industry trends".

"MontLake is a leading UCITS platform in the asset management industry with a top-quality range of funds and we are delighted to launch our Global Consumer Staples fund on this highly regulated and versatile platform. We look forward to working with the ML Capital team on this exciting new venture" added Jamie Isenwater, co-founder of Ash Park.

Cyril Delamare, CEO of ML Capital commented: "We are delighted that Ash Park have selected MontLake for its recent UCITS launch. A consumer staples fund will further enhance the diverse offering on our platform and corresponds to what investors are looking for. We look forward to working with the team at Ash Park and believe that their pedigree and expertise within the sector offers great potential for the growth of this product.
