Greenwich Global Hedge Fund Index Down -0.33% in July (+2.74% YTD)

Opalesque Industry Update - The Greenwich Global Hedge Fund Index ended the month of July down -0.33%. Equity markets were down in July with the MSCI World Index down -1.67% and the S&P 500 down -1.38%. Bond markets as measured by the Barclays Aggregate Bond Index were down -0.25%. Emerging Markets were a bright spot in the month with the MSCI Emerging Markets Index up +1.43%.

Hedge Fund Strategy Highlights
Arbitrage Strategies were the best performing in the month of July returning +1.30%.

Multi-Strategy also performed well this month, up +0.38%.

Event Driven strategies had their worst month of the year down -1.23%.

Long/Short Equity Funds were down -.44% but did dramatically better then the equity markets indices.
